Day 4 Circular Walk from Vallehermoso

Tuesday 28th February 2017

KE Adventure Travel Trip Notes

Today’s walk takes us into a somewhat drier landscape more typical of the other Canary Islands. We begin with a gradual ascent to the chapel of Santa Clara, built high on a ridge. From here, we have breath-taking views looking 700 metres straight down to the sea. From this tiny isolated chapel we follow a well-maintained path which levels out along the ridge and on a clear day we have stunning views over Tenerife and El Teide volcano, the highest point in the Canary Islands. After our lunch stop, the path winds its way steeply down to the beach and we walk to a tiny cove along the coast. We then complete our circuit, walking back along wide tracks via the botanical gardens to Vallehermoso.

I know they have not finished this yet, but it tickled my sense of humour!
