Stage 9. Santhia to Vercelli

This stage crosses the Vercellese plain strongly characterised by numerous rice fields; frequent meetings with different bird life of the area, attracted by the presence of water.

Pay attention to the crossing of the Ss. 413 exit from Santhià and to the three intersections with the Ss. 11 which runs parallel to our pilgrimage route
.
There are only a few stretches along the verges on quiet roads with little traffic.  Much of the stage takes place on tracks and country roads outside built-up areas where it is not possible to find a water source.
