La Gomera

Day 5 Roque El Cano ascent/El Chorillo viewpoint/onwards to Hermigua

Wednesday 1st March 2017

We started with the short but relatively steep ascent of Roque El Cano, a very distinctive volcanic outcrop clearly seen from Vallehermoso and featured on the town's coat of arms. We then continued to Las Rosas and the National Park Visitors’ Centre at Juego de Bolas for lunch.

After lunch we walked down into the Barranco Sobre Argoto before ascending again to the viewpoint of El Chorillo for a scenic vista over the Hermigua Valley 800 metres below. Making a steep descent on a scary switch-back path set into the rock face to reached Agulo. From herev we headed back to the hotel via Lepe.
