This walk was a spur of the moment walk and was a bit hit-and-miss as I was not carrying a map with me. I set off from Howe Green down the Bridleway to Sandon Hall Farm, turning left and following the path around the edge of the fields. This led to Sandon Quarry Road, at the point where it crosses the A12 over a bridge. Continuing down this road I cam to the entrance to Sandon Quarry Road, on the A1114 Southend Road. Turning right I walked past the entrance to Great Baddow Tennis Club and continued straight to Sandon School. Here I turned left along the snicket that is The Bringey, under the underpass, and came into Great Baddow at The Vineyards shopping center. Here I turned right and followed Baddow Road down to the Army & Navy roundabout. Here I turned right along Princes Road, past Lidl, the College and Moulsham School until I came to Longstomps Avenue. I turned left up Longstomps Avenue and continued until I came to a T-junction, opposite Hylands Parade of shops. This road continues towards Galleywood, a route for another day, but I turned left along a footpath and followed the road around to the left until I came to Linnet Drive. Here I turned left, following Linnet Drive (and then Firecrest Crescent) until I came to Beehive Lane. here I turned left towards Great Baddow, and came out at the junction next to the Beehive pub (now closed). Turning right here, past the Co-op and Texaco petrol station I continued into Great Baddow. I decided to go back a slightly different way, along the road instead of the Bringey. Going up the curvey path into the centre of The Vineyards, I turned right and then left along a snicket that goes to the left hand site of St Mary's Church. Turning left on the road I continued to the junction next to Baddow Lawn Tennis Club, and then back home the way I had come.
