This was one of the first "Lockdown" routes that we tried, walking out of Howe Green towards East Hanningfield and then turning right down Southlands Chase. Leaving the houses behind the route drops down through fields to the old A130, where you turn right to get back into Howe Green. There seems to be some doubt as to whether this is a permissible right of way, as I have heard of people coming out of the houses along Southlands Chase to discourage walkers.
