This temple, known in the past as San Xoan Hospitalarios Church, was moved when the Belesar reservoir was built and the old village was flooded. It is one of the most extraordinary Romanesque monuments on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

The Temple, founded by the Military Order of Santiago's knights (Cabaleiros de Santiago) in the 12th century, is crowned by battlements which give it the aspect of a fortress. In the front-main entrance is a large rose window, an eave and a door with three pairs of columns in which it is highlighted the inner archivolt, where the twenty four Old Men of the "Revelations Book" are represented playing their instruments. A scene of the Annunciation is represented on the north side entrance tympanum, and the south wall entrance has rich ornamentation.
