The Church of Our Lady of Expectation is located in the Plaza Nuestra Señora del Rosario. It was built between the 16th and 17th centuries. A mosque in time of the Arabs and later became Christian Temple with the name of the parish of Santa Maria of Canillas de Albaida and Sedella.

It is interesting that the attendees were all older ladies. Apparently the Church sided with Franco during his years and because of this the men will not go into church. They even keep their sons outside and pass down this prejudice against the church.

The service was not conducted by a priest, but seemed to be coming over the internet through crackly speakers in the church....."Alexa... give me three Hail Mary's"!
