Htilominlo Temple

Htilominlo Temple, built around 1211 A.D. by King Nantaungmya, is one of the greatest temples in Bagan, a double-storeyed structure rising 150 feet above the ground. The main vestibule faces east, with smaller projections on the remaining sides providing porches of arched entrances. Portions of fine plaster carvings still survive on the arch pediments, fieze and pilasters. If it is souvenirs you are after, Htilominlo is the palce, as there are more traders per square yard in its grounds than anywhere else in Bagan.
