Rifugio Averau

As it was only early afternoon the idea of climbing to Rifugio Nuvolau was mooted. From where we were standing it looked a hard slog. My head said don't do it, as there were another five days of hard climbing to do. Why not take a rest? But my heart said that if I don't do it I may never get the chance again, and Rifugio Nuvolau is unique in being the oldest refuge in the Dolomites. My heart won the battle!
