Tenerife

Day 5 Anaga Peninsula from Chamorga

Thursday 9th March 2017

KE Adventure Travel Trip Notes

Today we transfer (1.30mins) to the area of Chamorga deep in the heart of the Anaga Peninsula. With fewer than one hundred inhabitants, and the end of the road, the village of Chamorga feels beautifully isolated surrounded by dramatic peaks and rich elder forest. We’ll have time to explore the tiny hamlet and take photographs of its picturesque church and dramatic location before we start walking. The trails today take us through some of the most fantastic vegetation on the island and as there are numerous walking possibilities, our leader will decide on the day which route is best for us. Depending on the walk, today we will be walking for approximately 5 – 6 hours. On returning to Chamorga we will transfer to the capital of Tenerife, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. With its brightly painted buildings, buzzing harbour, excellent museums and traditional restaurants, Santa Cruz is a superb place to spend our final two nights. On arrival we’ll check-in to our hotel before heading out for dinner in a local restaurant.
