Chez Vrony is reached by taking the Sunnegga Express to Sunnegga and then hiking down (30 minutes) the trail towards the valley in the direction of Findeln. A single on the Sunnegga Express costs CHF 21. You then have the option of hiking back up to Sunnegga and taking the Sunnegga Express back down, or hiking the trail back to Zermatt. The second option is a very pleasant walk and takes about an hour. The route passes Leisee Lake and then descends through the forest after Chez Vrony.

Chez Vrony, at 2,130m in Findeln, is one of the few restaurants still serving organic home products from livestock raised solely on alpine grass. Their dried beef, homemade sausage and alpine cheeses are based on traditional recipes handed down through generations. The restaurant is run by Vrony and Max Cotting-Julen.
