Chelmsford Centenary Circle

The Practical

The Centenary Circle is a 21-mile (33.4 km) circular route around Chelmsford commemorating the the year 1988, the centenary of Chelmsford being designated a Borough under the Municipal Corporations Act of 1888. The route conveniently splits into 5 sections as shown below. Although the walk is listed as starting in Galleywood, we chose Sandon for our start point being the closest to home. We decided to split the route into two, namely Sandon to Writtle and Writtle to Sandon.
