A last look at Estaing as I cross back over the bridge to pick up the GR65 route

The GR65 signposted to Golinhac and Conques

Leaving Estaing along the banks of the Lot

The Lot

Is that Ritch and Noirin I see ahead?

A lizard basking in the sun

In to open countryside

Through cooler forrested areas

I know that they are only dandelions, but it is a pretty scene

Arriving in Golinhac - there was a shop AND a restaurant here!

Le Bastide d'Olt - A lovely spot for lunch; some of us had a small salad whilst others (Ritch) had a 4 course meal culminating in a chocolate eclair!

The church at Goilinhac

On a chocolate-high! Ritch striding ahead after his eclair for lunch!

The roof tiles present such an attractive pattern in this area

And some of the doors have character too!

Ritch and Mick enjoying a drink at a wayside stall

Arriving at the small village of Espeyrac

Renée and Jean-Jacques

La Tete Mysterieuse

This granite head, has the birth of echauguette with his eyes and mouth barely blanks, remains utterly mysterious.

Is it an old sculpture erased by time, a naive work, or just the random nature?

A similar sculpture exist near the hamlet of Saint-Bauzels, and in Auvergne, on the road to St Jacques de Compostela
