Bonjour!

Some people opt out of the long hike to Florac, and instead go directly to Cassagnas
from Pont de Montvert. Two German ladies I met at Chateau de Cauvel
did just this, and took a rest day at Cauvel.

No chance of a cup of coffee here, then!

At Col du Sapet you have a choice of two routes, the longer route going via Bedoues but the shorter involving a bit more climbing but saving 6 km It had been a hard day climbing in the wind and rain, so we opted for the shorter route to Florac.
