Ready to leave

Coming down from Rif. Tierser Alpl we retraced our footsteps to Passo Duran, and then turned left
towards Rifugio Molignon. There is actually a link path, shown in green above, which is not marked and is slightly
shorter. This link path fits in with the description in the Colletts notes.

leads to a large hotel, Ritsch Schwaige. By this point we had walked 9 km in 3H20

25 minutes to the cable car to Ortisei up a sweeping gravel path

Ortisei Alpe di Siusi Ropeway station, connecting Val Gardena with Alpe di Siusi (Seiser Alm). The top station
at Mont Sëuc is at 2,005 m. (Mont Sëuc is Alpe de Siusi in Ladin). Ortesei is also called St. Ulrich in Gröden or Urtijëi

The Parish Church  is dedicated to the Epiphany and to Saint Ulrich.

It was built in the years 1792–1796 in the Neoclassical style with some Baroque elements by the Tyrolean master Joseph Abenthung and the interior domes painted by the Tyrolean brothers Franz Xaver and Josef Kirchebner. The structure of the church has the form of Latin cross with a central nave and two lateral chapels dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and to Our Lady of the Rosary.
